Bu Mahir Interpretive Centre
Updated: Apr 15, 2019
On the 4th of April, Team WAD visited the Bu Mahir Interpretive Centre located at the historic Bu Mahir Fort in Muharraq.
The Bu Mahir Fort was built in 1840 and the remaining tower serves as a landmark where the Centre is located.
The Centre displays an overview of the rich pearling history of Bahrain. As Architects, it was particularly interesting to read the stories of the clusters of historical buildings that played significant roles to the pearling community of Bahrain.
We were excited to see the Al Jalahma House which we toured last year represented in the pearling map.
