The 45th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition
Held under the patronage of HRH the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the 45th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition was held at the Ritz-Carlton from the 20th March to the 16th of April, 2019.
The event was a fantastic display of different forms of visual art work from paintings to sculptures to short films where sound was also incorporated to affect one's experience within the given space.
The art pieces on view were spectacular demonstrations of artistic expressions that showcased personal perceptions and backgrounds and so encompassed the uniqueness of the exhibition in that it seemed entirely random in subject matter. The experience therefore was a stimulating surprise at every corner enhanced by a wide range of colourful abstractions and monotones.
We spent around 45 minutes walking around the exhibition hall, trying as much as possible to absorb what we were seeing. We truly appreciated how well documented and educational the displays were with stories of the artists, their inspirations and schools of thought.
As designers, it was a refreshing and stimulating experience and we all came away inspired.
